Stanley Uris: [voice over] See, the thing about being a loser, you don’t have anything to lose. So…
Young Losers Club: [voice over] Be true. Be brave. Stand. Believe. And don’t ever forget, we’re losers, and we always will be.
Who forgets the scariest clown of all? Pennywise. Yes, he is the reason why there are scary clowns walking around during halloween.
I was a kid when I watched the first movie of IT (It was released 1990) and finally, they made a new version last 2017 which luckily was followed up by a new sequel this year, the IT: Chapter 2.
The first sequel as we all know, was adapted from the horror-thriller book IT written by one of the greatest writers of all time when it comes to horror and thriller genres, Stephen King. Yes, I’m a fan and I’m actually waiting for the film adaptation of Doctor Sleep which was written also by Stephen King.
IT is about a story of a killer clown who eats scared kids and terrorize the whole town by leaving a mystery of his existence. Seven kids were brave enough to fight Pennywise, saving their town from the menace and after 27 years, Pennywise has return, and kids and youngsters are starting to go missing again.

Mike Hanlon, played by Isaiah Mustafa, called all six of his old friends (Bev, Richie, Stan, Bill, Eddie, and Ben) to come back and do as they promised. However, none of them actually remembered what happened in Derry, Mane 27 years ago. They all have forgotten the details of their stay and journey in Derry except for Mike. They all promised that once Pennywise has return, they will come back to stop him again. With them having different lives in different places, it is a challenge for Mike to get the reunion coming.
On the day Mike tried calling all of them, after a suspected attack by Pennywise, all of them felt something inside them was pulling them back into the town except for Stanley Uris played by Andy Bean which later in the movie did something we aren’t all proud and expected of him.
Along with Richie played by Bill Hader, Bill played by James McAvoy, Beverly Marsh, played by Jessica Chastain, Ben Hanscom played by Jay Ryan, Eddie Kaspbrak played by James Ransone, they all met in a Chinese Restaurant, trying to recall everything that happened almost three decades ago.

With Mike studying about Pennywise and how to defeat him for so many years, he was able to concoct a recipe on how to defeat the killer clown, however they all need unity and belief which they don’t currently possess. As confused they are when they were kids, they follow Mike’s lead to Pennywise’s lair.
In the movie, it was obvious that their unity and fears are the only puzzle missing in their hands. Pennywise grows stronger with fear and in the movie, these main characters are considered as losers and after believing in themselves that they can do the impossible, they were able to fight Pennywise hand in hand.
I won’t give you much details coz I don’t wanna spoil but this movie is one of the best if you have watched the previous installment for IT. It entails many aspects about friendship, history and most of all, it is dealing with so many mysteries. It’s like the movie was made to tell the viewers and show them what happens after a horror movie ends, does it really end or it just starts to create a deeper mystery.
All in all, I’m giving this movie a 87% wonderroanne rating.
