Det. Mike Lowrey: Who the f**k wants to sing that song?

After almost two decades of waiting for another sequel of the Bad Boys Movie, who would’ve known that they will be releasing a new one.

Last January, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, two of the most sought after when it comes to action-comedy films in the industry, played yet again another part of remarkable sequel of their movie series, Bad Boys.

When you say “shit gets old.” everything does but who will forget the tandem that brought us the Bad Boys 1 and 2? In the new sequel, Detective Mike played by Will Smith and Detective Marcus played by Martin Lawrence are in their oldies already, compare to the two previous movies, their aged in the one like daughter-getting-married-and-having-a-grandson-age.

In the new movie, Marcus is ready to retire however, Mike is just too stubborn to be convinced that their getting old and they need to keep things up and going but little did they know that someone is trying to erase Mike on the books of the Earth.

After dealing with death himself, Mike decided to find the person who is trying to kill him and in an amazing turn of events, this person may have something to do with Mike’s past; a memory that Mike wanted to bury with him forever.

My verdict

Movie is straight up cool, but comparing to the old movies, all the road chasing and action, I think the two previous sequels gave it a justice. The new one is more into the chill side and I can’t blame them, they be in their oldies in the movie so too much action may not be appropriate but still.

I also liked how the AMMO (a tactical squad) was there whenever the events turn into dead end. Of course I like Vanessa Hudgens and Charles Melton were among the members of the AMMO.

The movie didn’t give the “ugh” feeling which I wanted whenever I watch action movies, just like the ones we feel when we watch Fast and Furious, yah know?

All in all, the movie can be watched by those who didn’t watch the two previous entries because there’s so much flashbacks stories that were mentioned in the movie which will make you understand the whole Bad Boys thing.

I’d give this movie a 80% wonderroanne rating.
