Songbird Movie: A ‘Pandemia’ Realization

So, it was only released last June 24 in the UAE, a movie called Songbird which tackles a fictionize result of a pandemic. The movie was however released in US last December 2020, which is a bummer because I am too late to make a review so I would just use this blog to compare the movie to the real world. Besides I think they made this movie as an eye opener to everyone and I felt like I needed to watch in the big screen rather than my laptop so it will be a lot more realistic.

The movie is about how Covid-23 had affected the world. There are quarantine facilities which they called the Quarantine Zone and everyone who gets sick or had symptoms of the said virus, they are being picked up from the comfort of their homes just to be sent in the so called Quarantine zone or everyone calls it, Quarantine Zone of Death. Coz if you’re there, you’ll just end up dying. Here’s where the story gets exciting. There are people who are called immune, which means they don’t get the virus even with close contact (which they don’t do unless the person in front of them is immune as well.) Then brings us to KJ Apa’s character, Nico who plays the role of a courier who is immune and sends all the packages of almost everyone. But of course, Nico has to rescue his

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (A Moview)

“Being brave doesn’t mean you’re not scared. It means you are scared, but you hang in there.”

– Arne Johnson, The Conjuring 3

So this is the third instalment of the Conjuring series but this is not the only movie that crossovers the whole Conjuring timeline; there’s also other movies that are connected with the conjuring, The Nun and Anabelle. I think if you have watched all of those movies, then you know their connections. So for those who haven’t watched it yet, let me give you a chronological timeline of the conjuring.

You can watch it two ways; 1st is this order which will make you understand the history and it’s easier to understand the latest movie;

  • The Nun (1952 / 1971)
  • Annabelle: Creation (1943 / 1952 / 1955 / 1967)
  • Annabelle (1967)
  • The Conjuring (1968 / 1971)
  • Annabelle Comes Home (1968 / 1969 or 1971 / 1972)
  • The Curse of La Llorona (1973)
  • The Conjuring 2 (1976 / 1977)
  • The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (1980/81)

The second on is the time of their released which is also fair to watch if you don’t want to be in the zone where you cannot digest the events so, yeah, try this order;

  • The Conjuring (2013)
  • Annabelle (2014)
  • The Conjuring 2 (2016)
  • Annabelle Creation (2017)
  • The Nun (2018)
  • The Curse of La Llorona (2019)
  • Annabelle Comes Home (2019)
  • The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)

So now let’s go with the latest Conjuring entry entitled, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, Yes, I know I had the same reaction when I saw it…what is it about? is it gonna be scarier than the previous movies? I bet so… Well, let’s talk about it and I promise that I will try my best not to spoil.

But well, still a disclaimer, I might be able to drop some hints here and there.

A Quiet Place 2: A Moview

Just this week, the continuation of the thriller movie A Quiet Place was released and it is remarkable and exciting. You wanna know why? Because yeah, we still need that answers we have been looking for since 2018, like what happened to the Abbott Family? We’re they able to kill all the monsters? or how about the baby and Marcus? What happened to them?

Okay fine, we all know the Quiet Place’s story, well, at least we do, like this is where blind monsters are killing people. How? Well, they have this very strong sense of hearing (noise-sensitive) which makes it harder for people to move and communicate with sounds coz theses creatures can hear even a slight scratch from afar.

In the first movie, we all saw the aftermath of the suspenseful event in the Abbott Family’s life. Evelyn played by Emily Blunt and Lee, Evelyn’s husband played by John Krasinski, has managed to build a home, create a life with their three children, Reagan, Marcus and Beau, after the attack of the said creatures. They were able to create tactics and practice a normal (yet not so normal) life with the kids. However, on the day they left home to get some supplies something happened that caused their youngest child, Beau to be

Cruella: A Moview

This is entirely a new movie review but this is a classic. I love how villain-centred movies are getting into the limelight. Last year’s attempt was The Joker and other DC villains like Haley Quinn, and the others…and this year, it’s time to know the story behind the villain who hates black-spotted dogs, known as the 101 Dalmatians, or very well known as Cruella De Vil.

The movie Cruella spotted the cinemas last May 27 and still on going. It is starred by the ever so charming and effective actress Emma Stone and Emma Thompson; Two actress, same name and same remarkable impact in this film.

This is not the usual spoiler nor the usual review; I think I’m gonna hit the cracks by starting on telling you guys what I really think about this movie. We all know about the Dalmatians but we don’t know much about Cruella-well, aside from she’s some kind of freak who likes to skin Dalmatians to create coats. If this live action movie is derived from the real story who Cruella is, then I might say, it’s moving.

So let’s start with how they told Cruella’s story; but of course every story has a beginning and Cruella’s not different from any other

The One Where They Met Again After 17 Years…

F.R.I.E.N.D.S – A popular sitcom that was aired from 1994 to 2004. I know that you know this show coz who doesn’t? This sitcom grew more popular ever since Netflix has published the whole seasons and episodes in their streaming app. I came to discover about American Sitcoms mostly when I as in college already (2009), The Frasier was one of them and FRIENDS was the second and the rest is history. I guess that made me love sitcoms more and more each year.

And after 17 years, the producers of the show decided that it’s time to make another history by making all FRIENDS Fans’ dream…a comeback. Well, not actually a comeback but a reunion where all the characters (Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Joey and Chandler) get together and be in one TV Screen again.

The Reunion was released in HBO Max last May 27 and still streaming online. So for those who want to know the highlights of the Reunion episode, then you’re on the right website.
