Have you ever watched some movies in where characters play through their thoughts and dreams? Yes like the movies Inception and Total Recall, those are just some of the good movies that focused on dreams. But have you heard of something where you memories are being recalled and you can watch them all over again? Well, this movie starring Hugh Jackman
is exploring someone’s memories as they recall them back as if they are watching movies.
Well, sci-fi movies like this are just expectacular coz there’s a possibility of getting that same exact thing in the near future because will never know what technology can do. I mean, if you love someone and they died, the only moment you will see them is either in dreams or in memories which is clearly impossible to view by the naked eye unless you are sleeping and yes day dreaming. Well, it’s not surprising to discover that this movie is actually a hit.
The movie is all about Nick Bannister, a private investigator of the mind. He helps his clients go back to their pasts to relive the memories they wanted to remember forever or the memories which they wanted to get an answer from. But Nick was haunted by his own past, Mae, played by Rebecca Ferguson, a singer whom she met as a client and later on became a lover but what Nick wants to know is why she left however, revisiting the past means unveiling the true identity of the person he once loved. His journey on discovering who really Mae is rather a challenge because Mae is not who Nick thought she was.
Okay so, while watching this movie, I thought there’s so much more to know about Mae and how extreme it is to think you know a person but really, you just don’t. It thought me that you can’t just trust someone and well, this movie had a way of expressing those thoughts. I love how they connected the story to the work of Nick and how subtle, not too dramatic or too many action scenes. The movie is calm just like how Nick watches each memories in a hologram.
All in all, I enjoyed this movie and I’m giving this 87% wonderroanne rating.
