From its signature intro music, to its the pre-scene credits, I have a very nostalgic moment watching the (I believe) the last entry for 007 movies. This is not your ordinary 007 movie coz this is bowing to be the last. And this also means that this will be the last time Daniel Craig will be playing the infamous action-favorite fictional character, James Bond.
What sets this movie different? Aside from the never ending modernization of action films, I believe this had stand out because of the crazy stunt pulled in every scene in which I can’t imagine how they actually filmed the movie, there’s so much more in this movie that gave the 007 story a remarkable and yet not so predictable end. This is probably one of the movies that won’t need any spoiler coz you’ll guest what might happen but in the end of the movie you’ll say, What? I know, I said the same thing. i questioned my entire existence while watching, in a good way, of course.
No Time To Die, for what it’s worth, the title says it all. James Bond coming back from a long break, trying to help an old friend in a mission, trying to find an abducted scientist that has a mass destructive weapon in his hand. While doing the mission, James’ past will show up and either haunts him forever and gives him the answer he’s been looking for a very long time. Little did he know is that the past brought something more closer to him than he could ever imagine.
The Verdict
This movie will be the last bow of Daniel Craig as James Bond, and probably this will be the last movie involving James Bond himself. I don’t actually plan on doing a spoiler because this movie deserves the secrecy that the End Game had when it was showed. I think this movie has its own way of telling people the story without even watching the past movies of James Bond especially if you’re not into old action movies, but yes, you all should watch his movies before so you’ll know who James Bond really is. I love how they portrayed the future might be if a hired killer goes on retirement, it’s like John Wick before they killed his dog, remember?
I love how they actually managed to create a story behind the movie, coz James Bond himself is actually a story already so the question is what more can the scriptwriters and the directors can offer the viewers? Which I think was answered in the movie. I really wanted to spoil so much but I don’t think it deserves spoiling although despite of the heavy action, there were lots of comedy and a love story on-hand!
I wanna talk about the character of Rami Malek, named Safin, the main villain in the movie, I promised you, I thought Rami is still in character for the twilight saga. ha! I thought his character went from Twilight to James Bond! I know it was funny but, could’ve been a nice crossover, yes?
I also loved how they made the agent number 007 be highlighted in the movie, considering that there’s a new 007, how will two 007 deal with each other, is there gonna be a rival? or a possible team-up? Yeah, we don’t know unless we watch. I also loved how they managed to put old characters together to match the new story line but hey, I gotta say, this movie surprised me a lot, and that includes the ending.
The ending is so much to handle, like you are watching Hunger Games or reading the real ending of Divergent Series, like you wanted so many things to happen but they just had to cut it there and have the ending hanging for all of us coz it’s just fictional and they need us to remember that-which I think I always forget-coz the attachment we are going to invest in this movie is crazy.
All in all, I recommend everyone to watch this and send me a message on what you thought about it and whatever is your reaction to the whole movie! I will definitely give this a 90% wonderroanne rating! kudos to the action scenes in Italy!
