Reality Shows For Singles (Too Hot to Handle & Love is Blind Moview)

They said that love is blind and that you can fall in love with just knowing someone and having a deeper connection and folks, that’s what these dating reality shows are proving to us. Love is Blind is about finding a fiancé and marrying them in the span of weeks but the twist is that they will be going on a date with 14 different people inside a pod where they won’t be able to see each other. They will be all dating blindly. If after few days and they found their match, then they can propose to the other person on the other pod whom they think they want to spend the rest of their life. If the other party accepts the proposal, they will finally meet each other outside the pods and will be able to spend few weeks before their wedding. Sounds a bit impulsive right? Wait until you read about Too Hot to Handle, coz this show is way different.

Too Hot to Handle is a dating show, inviting the most sexual people that the universe can ever meet, with all the sexual tension going around, they will be staying in an island only to find out that they won’t be allowed to kiss, have sex and even do self gratification, I know, way harder than Love is Blind, considering that they are seeing each other most of the time in bikini and boxers, like yes, gorgeous body everyone and the twist, the price money gets deducted if any of them breaks the rule. and they are being watch by a cone, named Lana.

I spend few days watching both simultaneously and I had a blast watching it. of course I have too much opinion about it but yes, I will just write a few. First, will start with Too Hot to Handle, coz the season 3 was entirely my favorite season coz I loved how rule breakers Holly and Nathan became the talk of the town when they continuously break the rules and causing everyone to lose money. I also saw how can one actually find no interest in finding connection because of not opening herself to anyone after failing on one person, and that’s Jazz, but I saw how they made family out of this show and how they eventually learned to open themselves to some they didn’t expect to like. I’m talking about Harry and Beaux, like they were just so cute and the connection they made was literally legit feelings. The season 3 was much more interesting than the first two, I think because they are the ones who realized the lessons of the show more than anyone else who joined. But yes, the other two seasons were also a top of the talk.

On the other hand, in the world where you only decide your fate any trusting your gut and the voice you hear on the opposite pod, The Love is Blind is a nice experiment to know if we really look into the physical aspect when it comes to love. which I think we saw in this season more clearly. I’m talking about how Shake literally represents all the people who just look on one’s body to know if they are in love and with Shaina who literally with cross line to ruin something she didn’t get in the end. Yes, I’m talking a little to silly about this season but I won’t spoil too much coz I want you to watch it for yourself. The experiment literally showed us how everyone differs when it comes to perspective in life and love. Not everyone falls hard on looks, not everyone is satisfied on just the attitude alone and not everyone is ready to commit at all.

Also, the hardest part in the Love is Blind experiment is the time they spent together coz most of the couples who get married somehow may have spent a lengthy time with their partners to know them very well but in this experiment you just have 4 weeks to do so. What if you don’t like the way he sleeps? they way she cleans the house? and other things…coz I think these small things are also a big factor in choosing your partner and that’s how you’ll know you are with someone who matches your personality, right?

Well, the reunion or the last episode of the Love is blind was the top of my list. I love how everyone sit together and talked about the issues they faced during the show and where they are standing now. My favorite among them was Shayne and Natalie, Shayne has a drinking problem and everyone knows it. He just changes when he gets to have a taste of alcohol and it was so ugly for Natalie to experience that. And the way Shake just defends how he doesn’t see the point of them not getting what he meant when he doesn’t feel any attraction towards Deepti, well, from the start of the show, Shake has been the one showing playboy attitude and a very toxic attitude especially when he tried to know if the person speaking on the other pod is fit or not. Yes, he was a toxic one by that time.

My most favorite were Nick and Danielle, Nick was basically an OCD and Danielle got anxieties bigger than her, it just shows us how two can compromise to understand each other. They were able to see the light even in darkness. They had arguments but still they found a way to comeback to each other and stay with the person they met in the pod. The experiment has worked on them somehow

The reality show has shown us different sides of possibilities and reasons to say no and not to become impulsive in making decisions coz you’ll never know where it will take you. Especially, we saw toxic relationship and toxic people and by now, we can see red flags (Shaina and Shake were walking red flags) If I were to be in the Love is Blind show, I don’t think I will be able to just meet someone in the pod, not because I wanted to see how they look but I wanted to know someone for a very long time without someone pressuring me to decide whether I will marry this person or not. The time constraints were not for me. I would fail in this experiment for sure.

All in all I love these kinds of social experiments. I love watching reality TV shows and I must say, I kinda miss KUWTK, so yes, I need a reality TV check every now and then. I guess we need more reality show like this to just see other people’s perspective on things. I will definitely give these two shows 88% wonderroanne rating, coz why not?
