Nowadays we are all hooked-up with retro things especially the recent releases of replicas of 80s – 90s game consoles and we just want the games to played now you can play Mario Bros. in your iPhone or even Pacman but the game console that embraces the retro is really Nintendo. Well, anyway, this is not about the consoles, rather it is about the latest release movie Choose or Die, starring Lola Evans and Asa Butterfield. This movie is written by Simon Allen and directed by Toby Meakins.

This film is about a terrifying game, called Curs>r, that can actually make or break you, like literally. The movie is actually suspense and thriller. The story is about a broke student who found a game that has a hefty price at stake. It is an old movie but the price is still in the pot despite of the date it was made. The game was made during 1980s

and this game is no your average game because little did they know, this game has a serious consequence. Kayla (Lola Evan’s character) was initially curious about the game until she notices something bizarre about the game. This wicked game is actually seems to be haunted or cursed. She plays not only in the computer but she actually plays with her own life. Later on, with the Ian to beat the game, she then involved her friend, Isaac (Asa’s Character).

This new Netflix movie is rather disturbing because there’s a part where Kayla was about to beat the game and then she also found out the trick of the game. Even in my eyes, it’s too confusing while watching the game but in the end, I was able to understand the aim of the game. This game will make you think rather than be scared of what’s gonna happen next because it is actually a mind game. It’s like Saw but this time you play it in a computer. To top that they also included the voice of Robert England (Freddy Kreuger of The Nightmare on Elm Street)

Do we look forward for the ending? Yes, I’d say Kayla was able to hack and cheat on the game if that’s what you call that. However, hacking the game will lead her to so many discoveries which I think viewers will actually like. I loved the retro vibe they have been giving movies recently. The vibe that I’m getting is from the slasher movies and other movies made in late 90s and early 2000s.
