The Oppenheim Group headed by Jason and Brett Oppenheim has been dominating the Los Angeles real estate together with their beautiful agents who not only gives a front view of the elites of the real estate but also the drama circulating around the real estate world. These group of real estate agents are bagging serious money because of their listing and bagging serious views because of the drama surrounding them.
Let’s have a recap of the four past seasons; New girl Chrishell Stause, was hated by Christine Quinn, got divorced with her actor husband, Justin, and then became friends with Mary Fitzgerald. Mary got some heated arguments with her now-ex best friend Christine, and then Maya got pregnant, then in another season got pregnant again, Christine later on became an outcast because of her attitude that made her be excluded with the girls and the rest of the girls hating her. She got pregnant and then later on had to leave because she will be delivering the baby. Emma enters the group who was Christine’s ex boyfriend’s ex girlfriend, and then Christine apparently is spreading wrong rumors about Emma and then got heated argument with the girls again. Davina was let go by the twin brother and then new girl Vanessa came, later on Christine tried to share her thoughts about the girls but eventually Vanessa didn’t catch up and put herself in the middle of not wanting any conflicts with everyone and so on and so forth… This was just a brief recap of the whole four seasons that I have watched in the past years and so, the last season ended on Heather and Christine getting into big argument during the company party and then the rest of the girls had side against Christine because they were all affected by Christine’s attitude. So now, this is the fifth season. I actually thought I have written a moview about the last season but just now, I realized that I just did some tweets about it and didn’t focus on having a review and now, I think this season deserves was more than a review. I would love to write about my most loved agents and most hated ones because this season is just more intense than the previous ones.
Little disclaimer: here we go, you better try to watch all 4 seasons before you click more or scroll down…
This season, Jason and Chrishell are in a relationship, we have seen this in the trailer that was played at the end of season 4 so there was no surprised to that but the drama is when Christine had come to conclusion, sharing it with the media as well the perspective of Chrishell f***ing her boss to get to the top; well, that actually escalated quickly right after the interview was out in the open. That escalated further after Brett gave Chrishell a 10M listing which became an issue to the other agents and a talk of the minute for quite sometime.
The latest highlight was the new girl, Chelsea, recruited by Christine, is somehow creating some additional chaos, aside from she was fed information by Christine before she even enters the office, she is on her way to create her own name and she’s actually one to watch for. She’s married and mother of two kids, a handful but ready to be part of the Oppenheim Group. She definitely sides with Christine in all cases and I think that’s Christine’s no.1 advantage in this season, she has found her new minion. Which leads me to the second point, the Davina and Chelsea ‘grill fest’ yes, Chelsea even organized a tea-time party just to corner most of the girls and made it look like everyone is ganging-up against Christine and then the poor Davina became the talk of the minute when Chelsea called her out although this didn’t end during the tea-the, Davina invited Chelsea and they continue the argument without the other girls. Davina called Chelsea a parrot and a shadow of Christine which actually made the whole conversation full of sense, like yeah, she really is! On the other hand, I commend that Chelsea was able to set aside the information that Christine told her about Chrishell and basically realized that she has to have both sides of the story but still, she’s on Christine’s side.
Mary on the other hand, was given a task by Jason and Brett to be the manager of the Los Angeles branch because the two are busy with the Orange County branch which made her choose of not taking the vacation to eventually be pregnant and be with Romain for a while and she actually tried to list a house without Romain’s consent and they went on arguing about it for a very short time and then went back to their love bubble in a snap. I love their relationship and I feel like when the woman is independent with everything, men just need to be patient and understanding coz a female alpha doesn’t just bent and say no, they fight.
Davina, with the failed 70M listing on the past season, she tries her very best to get new ones to prove to Jason and Brett that she deserves a seat back to the Oppenheim Group. Well, aside from calling Chelsea “Christine’s parrot” that’s about it!
Heather got married and during her bachelorette party, Christine just sent a huge bouquet of flowers it’s like a flower-stand in a heart shape that stole the limelight of the party, knowing Christine, she loves the attention and that was also called out during the tea-time party.
Vanessa is also creating something big for herself coz she met a and they were in a long distance relationship coz her lad is form London and basically they had to endure the distance, later on, they got engaged (which was informed during the reunion) and Vanessa is now deciding on whether she will leave the group and follow her love in London.
Amanza didn’t have much exposure this season aside from her discovering Christine’s real character but can never call her out because I think it’s not Amanda’s trait to do so.
Emma is one of a strong one too and in this season she is actually flirting with some which I find really cute. She tried to buy a house for her family also which didn’t go as planned coz someone already bought the property that she wanted.
Did I forget anyone? Oh yes, Maya, she actually decided to leave the group and wanted to focus on her two kids, during the reunion, she also told the story about the recent incident of stillbirth that she experienced and now she wanted to just really focus on her family and eventually having a new baby in the near future.
I think this season was actually a lesson learned for everyone not only for Christine because before the season end, there was a huge issue between her and Emma that caused her to be absent and silent on the last episode which was the reunion. I do’t think they have answered the issue as well in realtime. The issue was one of Emma’s clients informed her that Christine tried to buy her off for Emma to lose her as a client. She wants to work with her in exchange for $5,000. Yes, you read that right, that’s the last scene on the last episode.
I don’t think the issue will be followed up any time soon or this can be used as a start for season 6 but I think a new season will be hard because Jayson and Chrishell have broken up because Jayson realized that he is not ready to be a father and Chrishell’s ultimatum since she is now 40 is to have kids asap. They also talked about the break up during the reunion and it was so emotional because Jayson still loves Chrishell but cannot change for her yet. Well, I’m expecting for a comeback but I’m not sure if it’s still possible coz it was later revealed that Chrishell is in a relationship her non-binary partner.
Well, hopefully a season 6 will still be possible because we need more answers. All in all, the season 5 was a blast and a show to look forward to. I would give this a 93% wonderroanne rating!
