Deadpool & Wolverine: Review

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

“You got a whole world to get back to, I have nothing.” Wolverine, 2024

Multiverse is multiverse-ing. Deadpool is Deadpool since the last movie in 2018, we didn’t really get any sequel. But this time, we don’t only get a sequel, but also a new MCU entry and a possibility of having the X-Men back. Yes, you read it right. This new Deadpool movie is actually a redirecting of the MCU. Not every one knows Deadpool is not actually part of the MCU at first but since Disney took over, they are now trying to fix the timeline by trying to tie up all the Marvel stories. This is where the whole confusion starts because aside form having so many things happening in MCU, there’s just too much topics to talk about. This new Deadpool movie was definitely called for. Okay, we just need to do a recap and analyze this new movie and how it’s gonna affect the whole MCU.

This 2024, Disney is presenting the third sequel of Deadpool, directed by Shawn Levy. This movie is about Deadpool looking for a new Wolverine from another universe to save his own world from vanishing after Logan (the wolverine from his world) died after he sacrificed his life. However, the catch is, this new Wolverine he got is the worst Wolverine on the entire universe. His challenge is he needs to make sure, he will save his world while also trying to befriend Wolverine who actually don’t wants any friends and doesn’t care of losing anything in his life. How can these two coexist when everything they believe is actually different from each other’s.

The Verdict

Well, we don’t really have a new verdict aside from yes, we liked it but we are still in fact, having second thoughts of liking it. The whole movie is basically the joke of the MCU, the the parody of all MCU Movies. Well, the only thing I loved about it is that he was able to show some Marvel characters that aren’t really in the MCU, just like Elektra, Gambit, Johnny form the Fantastic Four and the other X-Men villains. To analyze the whole thing, Avengers and X-Men really don’t share universe so, to see this X-men filled movie be brought up, I’m looking forward for another X-Men time line, and maybe Fantastic Four as well.

Let’s talk about the cameos, there are so many cameos to talk about but I’ll just give a few, and first is Channing Tatum as Gambit, the accent is well, really fun and yes, quite accurate. Chris Evans as Johnny from the Fantastic Four, coz not everyone really know that before he became Captain America, he was Human Torch. Jennifer Garner as Elektra, which was a role for her in 2003 Daredevil, Wesley Snipe as Blade, Dafne Keen as X-23 (Laura), and also some other fun cameos by Henry Cavill, the DC Superman playing Cavilrine, Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool and many more because we so so many Deadpool versions, not to mention Matthew McConaughey too.

The movie is a bunch of reunions of all Marvel old characters and probably a sight of new possibilities but all in all, I kinda like how they made it as a diversion for all the crazy confusion happening in the MCU right now. But the main question is, do we really get to have the X-Men in MCU too, now that Deadpool is part of the MCU? Or maybe a fun remakes for X-Men is welcome too. (I’m guessing my accuracy is based on the Earth they have been talking about the entire movie.)

I’m giving this to Hugh Jackman. He is definitely the apple of this movie.

I will give this movie a 80% Wonderroanne rating, coz why not? Well, my most favorite thing was dogpool and baby Deadpool.
