Shall we skip reviewing Snow White?

Well, after all the controversies involving its lead character, I guess most of us just went on full boycotting the premiere. As a result, opening the box office with just approximately $43 million.

Of course despite of having these issues, I need to be professional and do my job, the watching part and I should say, same sentiments that I had before, having a not-so-snow-white is not a good idea. Picking up modernity is not always a good idea, especially when adapting old successful works (considered as OG).

I am in awe of how the cancel culture at this era works. It will definitely ruin even the ones who least expected it. They first did the risk by changing some character representation in Little Mermaid live action, but the success they thought would be sought consecutively was stopped.

People were a little sceptical but were willing to acceot the new Snow White (at least some), but since the lead cast of the live action expressed her opinions and stand, having to tarnish the original piece, yes, she just tick some nerves for others.

The whole fiasco has resulted in not reaching the expected profit the film was supposed to have. The production will definitely suffer after this.

P.S. knowing the issue tied around the movie, while watching it? It definitely made it a lot worse than I was expecting.
