To The Girl Who Deserves Better

You don’t need to tie your hair up or go to the salon just to make a guy notice you. You deserve someone who will see your beauty even with a messy hair and a ruined mascara or even with nothing painted on your face.
You deserve a guy who texts you everyday even if he’s busy just to check up on you or just to wish you a good day. You don’t have to wait for his reply because he will send you one right away. Continue reading “To The Girl Who Deserves Better”

To That Guy You’ve Always Hated But Never Forgotten…

You can slap him on the face but as you walk away from him, you will tell yourself that he is right; he is definitely pointing out whatever your mind screams: DONE!

You may have parted ways but you will still see each other around. You cannot just avoid each other because you were both from the same town. You may cross paths again but you will not confront each other, all you can do is smile and pass by.

Modern Day Dating: Swipe Right or Swipe Left

In our generation now, going to clubs/bars to hang out is too blunt. Why not swipe right and look for someone who will match your credentials (like they like you just the way you like them) I’m not washing any hands in this section because I, myself, have tried that thing too. (Tinder, OKCupid and Skout) Although, I’m not talking about me getting someone to hook up with but I just want to tell everyone how using this app can cause you major disconnection with the real world and the real steps on dating.

These are 10 signs that dating apps had invaded your life and you might want to have a second look from using it.

1. You have experienced ONE TEXT STAND.

anigif_enhanced-buzz-16336-1362079644-5

This is when a guy you got matched with, talked to you for the whole night and then he unmatched or blocked you the next day. I mean, yeah, same with the usual one night stand but the difference is you never did anything although you shared some info about yourselves (sometimes it’s even personal). Too bad how other people think dating app is for casual hook ups only but it’s not. OKay you date but why not meet new friends using those?
I’ve met some who were like that, yes, I had experienced one text stand! and I also did that to someone for a reason. Continue reading “Modern Day Dating: Swipe Right or Swipe Left”

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY: “My tastes are very singular…”

fifty_shades_of_grey_ver5_xlg

I’d love to salute the author of this best-selling series, E.L. James, for making every reader’s imagination possible because of the movie. Well, who doesn’t want to see a real-life Christian Grey & Anastasia Steele, right?

I’m a fan of the series, which left me really aching for a remake—it’s not like I’m telling you guys that the movie wasn’t great—because I just think it didn’t give that much justice for the book at all.

From 50 shades of grey to darker then to freed…I’m so hooked! And like I’m so in love with the books—I read them repeatedly and I actually intend to read them again tonight, then tomorrow and then next week—I like the attack of the story—as well as the fervid BDSM thing and that is another story—like the Bella Swan-like attitude of Ana, that was really dope and the forever-smitten-Edward-look of Mr. Grey, that was really cloth-dropping looks.

So let’s go back to the movie; I love the movie but I think I was a bit mortified because the scenes were too fast and weren’t that much elaborated just like in the book. All in all, the movie is beyond satisfaction but still a little fast phase than I ever expected. Well, if this will be the case, I would love to watch a 6 hour length movie just as to give justice of what is written in the book—super long movies are way better because everything is detailed and executed ardently—just like Gone with the Wind!

This is not a full review of whatever is not in the movie—I’m not a legal critic who was paid to say something good or bad about anything—I’m merely stating whatever is written in my head while watching the movie and comparing it with the book.

Hence, my 50 shades of wondering and brooding while watching the movie; Continue reading “FIFTY SHADES OF GREY: “My tastes are very singular…””

From An Open Start to A Close End

“One thing I’ve learned is that you don’t have to be so attached of anything. You both agreed that you’ll just be partners and that he can see someone and you can do the same…”

Easy? It looks normal to everyone but not until you engaged on it.

 What is Open Relationship?

It is an interpersonal relationship in which the parties want to be together but agree to a form of a non-monogamous relationship. This means that they agree to have intimate relationship with another person. Basically, an open relationship is when two parties involved have two or more romantic relationships occurring at the same time either as a short term relationship, such as dating, or long term relationship.

There are three types of OR. Continue reading “From An Open Start to A Close End”

The Beginning of a Big Dream… My first novel: CHAPTERS

Yes. The first ever book I actually wrote.

How Did It All Start?

After I graduated from college, I was in the middle of a postgrad situation. I don’t have any idea on where to land exactly after years of flying. I mean, all of my classmates are already working while I’m just sitting inside my apartment doing nothing.

I tried applying to different companies but no one actually had the interest on hiring a fresh graduate that time, although there were also companies who welcomed me their warm-hearts but I’m the one refusing them because of two reasons: the salary and the work itself. I’m too picky and too careful on accepting contracts that’s why I ended up with nothing.

I became a freelance assistant researcher, helped some of my friends with their thesis and later on became a Corporate Strategist. I did some projects that are way beyond my capacity. Read books about business and management and also studied the whole market. It was an obvious win-win situation for me because not only that I earn money but I’m also learning so many things while researching.

I became a management consultant and did some of the strategy works behind a big company and yes, I was able to make money out of it. I work with my projects only 2 days in a week that’s why I have so many free times to spend and to waste. Continue reading “The Beginning of a Big Dream… My first novel: CHAPTERS”

Different Faces of ‘Singles’

Single- (n.) is an individual person or thing rather than part of a pair or a group.

  1. Singles with responsibilities these are people who aren’t lucky enough to find someone while growing up. They usually mingle with their school friends but don’t share stories about their crushes because they don’t have one. Sometimes, these people choose to be single just as not to jeopardize their studies and make their parents proud of them until college—or maybe until they probably grow up and move out of their parents’ house—they usually say, “I’ve got to finish my major first”, “My dad won’t allow me…”, “Relationships are for people who have time to enjoy, I’m taking up my second degree now, I can’t just fall in love and forget about my career.”

BUM LIFE: A Sluggish Beginning

Vacation is a trendy word for rest. Usually “Rest Time” is only good for 2-3 no-labor-days or in schools they have it max to 30days. What comes next to vacation is what 20ish individuals call the BUM LIFE, where you get to have your unlimited no-school-work-days, wakeup-late-with-brunch-serve, 24/7 internet surfing and anything you want to do! Isn’t that the nicest music you’ve heard in your whole life? But when will you put a deadline on this slothful living? When is the right time to walk out of this man-made-heaven?

Who are those people living this kind of life? College Graduates seeking for a vacation after a 4-year-struggle on their studies, unemployed, terminated workers/ employees, slacker, couch potato, rich kids, sick people and bludger or maybe anyone who just wanted to get out of their restless life. But I’d like to focus on graduates.

What’s the best part of having this kind of living?

You can take your biggest break EVER. With a well-planned life, after graduation, some goes straight to the real world and work their asses out to earn. Some are leaving for other country to work or to have vacation first and then work. But most are still thinking where to go, what to do next and where to enjoy the vacation before going to the stressful life of the real world. (Well, apparently, I belong to the MOST group. haha) Continue reading “BUM LIFE: A Sluggish Beginning”

The Drawbacks of Parting Ways

When tragedy happens, and relationships end, there will come a time you’ll remember what happened but you have already forgotten the feeling, or maybe if it still lingers in your mind, you’ll just sit and watch yourself regret. When you thought memories will all just fade easily… you’re wrong. Memories linger in pictures, conversations and even in your everyday life. Separation is the worst nightmare of everyone. And dealing with these things is the most difficult thing.

How do people deal with break-ups?

Sometimes we see someone cry because his/her partner broke up with him/her. But do we really know what they think, and what they feel? No. We don’t.

We just tell them, “He/She loves you, you both know that, but there are things that aren’t totally meant to be.” Or the mighty tagalog phrase, “Malay mo may darating na mas lamang at mas mamahalin ka…” or maybe some futuristic phrases like “Someone better will come to find you.” “God has a better plan for you. He might be still in the middle of writing your destiny.”  But how sure are you? Have you been talking to Mr. Cupid lately? Hm, I guess not.

What do girls and boys usually do after the break up?

GIRLS:

They eat a lot. They eat their stress away. Many girls believe that eating is some kind of stress-reliever whenever they feel blue. And eating sometimes causes them to feel bad for themselves and realize that they deserve something better. Buffet and dessert-devouring maybe are just part of their ways to forget things.
