Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning (A Moview)

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Maybe this is the final entry in the Mission Impossible film series, MI: The Final Reckoning has set another standard when it comes to action movies. Well, in this era, if it’s not Tom Cruise, Jason Statham, or Keanu Reeves, we’ll have to think about it twice. The Final Reckoning was set at the time where Ethan (played by Tom Cruise) needed to choose who to save, the world, or his friends. He has to do the impossible to be able to retrieve the entity and kill it but along the way, he lost people that are important in his life and he met again some of those who became part of his journey. It was like a mini reunion for some of the actors he worked with during the previous film installments.

In this journey, Ethan had to work again with the US government to prevent the entity from launching all nuclear missiles available in the globe and possibly ruin the entire mankind. To all those who don’t know know, The Entity is a self aware AI that has its own mind and can actually penetrate in cybersecurity and predict what will happen in the future. This technology was the main point of the whole Mission Impossible movie franchise. Not knowing, Ethan was the one who made it possible for the Entity to exist. Every move that Ethan made in the previous movies, it had an effect with the Entity.

“A future with no goodbyes, and in that future, Joy, you have a home in me.” – Ethan

Ethan and Joy has been in our heads since they released the new sequel of their first movie Hello, Love, Goodbye. Starring Kathryn Bernardo, and Alden Richards, the epic movie collaboration of two of the biggest channels in the Philippines had made yet another history. Pulling out to be the current highest grossing film worldwide, breaking their own record, this definitely a win for Filipino movie and talents. Directed still by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, this has set so many records and first to the Filipino movies.

Before we even go there, you can read my previous moview about the first movie, so that you will have something to compare to. There’s so much going on in this movie, like especially when they actually matched the timeline in the real world, it was really a good move to do that because the movie became more relatable to every viewers.

This second sequel, is about how Joy and Ethan walk through the paths of the real challenges of having a long distance relationship. They’ve seen the brightest of days and the darkest of nights. Joy moved to Canada to start a new journey and fulfill her dreams of becoming a nurse while Ethan continued to live and support his family in Hong Kong with his dreams of a successful bar.

Us Movie: Doppelgangers Unleashed (A Moview)

“They look exactly like us. They think like us. They know where we are. We need to move and keep moving. They won’t stop until they kill us… or we kill them.” – Adelaide Wilson

From the director of the “genre conflict” movie Get Out, Jordan Peele, another mind bugging movie has been released on March 21, Thursday in all the cinemas.

Played by some of the best stars in Hollywood, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Elisabeth Moss, and Tim Heidecker. Many people, including myself, has been so eager to have another thrilling movie from Jordan Peele and this time, he made it more exciting. Us is very different from the movie Get Out but entails the same suspense.

The movie is as much as scary as the Get Out but in a cringe-kind of way. This time, Jordan Peele, had given us a full-on horror film that didn’t disappoint. All the scenes are mysterious and the whole film is mind-bugging.

The story focuses on the experience of Adelaide Wilson (played by Lupita Nyong’o) when she was a little girl. The mystery in her life started after Continue reading “Us Movie: Doppelgangers Unleashed (A Moview)”

Hotel Mumbai: A History Painted by Terror (A Moview)

Hemant Oberoi: [to his staff] We should try to gather whoever we can. Many of you have families at home. There is no shame in leaving.
Butler Jamon: I have been here thirty-five years. This is my home.

Before we do the review, let’s just take a quick recap of whatever is happening in the news right now. Just a week ago, many of us were shocked by the news that a shooting attack happened in New Zealand and the gunman had filmed the whole thing live. Many of us, I’m sure, has witnessed the gruesome killing and we all pray for the souls of those who died.

The attack happened in Christ Church Mosque, stealing the lives of 50 of our Muslim friends and 50 more was left injured.

Just exactly a week after the attack, Hotel Mumbai was released. (Although the movie was pulled out and not released in New Zealand in respect for the event.) I know some of us might think it’s not important but I think the movie was released just in the perfect time.

For those who haven’t watched the movie, please do so. And of course, we will have to start this moview with a disclaimer.

Disclaimer: Everything that is written is a product of a research and a news compilation. This blog is merely about an opinion from my side being and with all of my might, I sincerely pray together with the families of all the deceased in both Mumbai and New Zealand Attacks.

This blog is written to review the Hotel Mumbai movie and to talk about the recent event that happened in New Zealand. Some facts about the Taj Hotel attack will be mentioned too.

Crazy Rich Asians Movie: How Crazy? (Moview)

“Perfection comes at a sacrifice.” ― Kevin Kwan, Crazy Rich Asians

Asians, what about them? How extravagant could a life of an Asian be?

Kevin Kwan, writer of the novel, Crazy Rich Asians, has yet wowed the whole globe with the film adaptation of his book. The film adaptation is directed by Jon M. Chu and has worked closely with Kevin Kwan. The film has broke some records for being the first Asian film to get a Hollywood premiere in 25 years (Look at that, yeah?) and this might be the best All Asian Cast movie in all the films showcased in Hollywood and in the world. (For me.)

The title says it all, Crazy, Rich and Asians, how hard can that be? Even the review is all crazy, I know, we should be living up for that title because this is the most detailed review I’ve ever made in my life. (C’mon, I’ve got lots of headlines here, people!)

So let’s start the wonderroanne moview (Movie Review), however, by reading this blog, means you are entering both book and film spoilers so, like what I always say, read at your own risk, ‘coz I’m not gonna censor any scenes or lines. I’m gonna put all the cards on the table, y’all.
