How many movies are we going to watch until we answer every question on each movie that they release each year? Well, it’s not often that we get them answered actually, especially horror films. It’s always either they have some continuation or they just don’t reveal the whole story for the viewers to get some cliff hanger which I really hate as a movie reviewer because it doesn’t give me any conclusion. Well, to be particular, there were too many installments of Exorcist, Insidious, and Conjuring that were released each year and we just cannot catch up. It’s like a Marvel Cinematic Universe.
If you’re a gamer, you’ll probably know what does Playstation do and what its games are about. Playstation is actually the OG of all the gaming consoles in the market right now, followed by Nintendo and Xbox. Since PS1 to PS5, Playstation has been dominating the gaming industry for so many years, with its wide range selection of exclusive games, you’re a clear legend if you have played most of the games available.
I grew up playing Crash Bandicoot, Tekken, Mortal Combat and Street Fighter, Battle of Tanks, Racing Rally, Vice City and GTA (It was not even my console, I had to borrow console from my cousin whose father works abroad, coz at that time, only kids with parents working abroad can actually afford video consoles and even handheld games like gameboy.) While these are the most common games in PlayStation before, as I grew up and gained a wider access to some other Sony Produced consoles like PSP which I was able to have because my uncle from abroad gifted my siblings, I was able to play UMDs like Daxter, which technically my most favourite of them all. And since I am now a grow up, with my own money to spend, I was able to buy PS4 and PS5 all from my pocket, and that’s how I became more hooked into gaming. Aside from that, I am a proud mother of two Pokemon Special Edition Nintendo Switch (Yeah, not t brag but it’s all a fruit of hard work) Well, anyway, enough bragging, I just wanted you to know that I am writing a moview not as a movie reviewer but as a gamer.
A biographic film, the Oppenheimer. This new film directed by Christoper Nolan is ranging from mystery to greatness. We all know who Christopher Nolan is, well, if not then let me tell you who he is. Christopher is the famous director of Dark Knight (2008), Dunkirk, Tenet, Interstellar and my favorite, Inception. If you watched these movies, you’ll know for sure that there’s a deep dark mystery in the film that all throughout the movie, you’ll ask so many questions.
We have seen Jaws, Jurassic Park, Piranha and Komodo Dragon, which actually made me scared of reptiles, and sharks for the rest of my childhood and yes, I could, say every time, I go to the beach, I still have that fear of getting bitten by a shark or eaten by killer whale, I mean, you never know.
This year, they have released a new movie installment for MEG, the sequel was actually surprising because the first movie was released 2018 and we didn’t expect some sequels up ahead, or maybe there was but I just didn’t see it coming. Anyway, MEG is a prehistoric shark that lives in the deep level of the water that was discovered by researchers and then during the research they had to be saved by Jonas Taylor played by Jason Stratham. Due to their extinction, they didn’t know the capabilities of the huge sharks and so they had to study it to be able to prevent them from reaching the surface and kill people.
Okay, so to all the people who are living in UAE, yes, the Barbie movie that is supposed to be released this July 20 was actually delayed. Until now, even Vox Cinemas didn’t release any reason for its postponing. The movie is now set to play in UAE on August 31. A new Netflix series about a queer man who was picked to work for a prestigious make up company was launched last month and all the things about it is just so familiar some-else-where. This is not the first that shows had actually reinvented that plot where the main character enters a dream job and the plot revolves around it. Devil wears Prada did that and that is one iconic movie up to this date however, more and more movies and TV Series had essentially follow the plot design of DWP all throughout the years but never did I see any of them succeed, one of them is The Bold Type, where is it now? Never have gone any renewals because the series actually flopped by the second season, it was lucky enough to renew even, I’d say.
I have been a dignified self-proclaimed The Flash fan since the start of my blogging. Everyone knows how I am widely capable to geek out when it comes to DC Universe. I have a wide range of knowledge when talking about each of the Justice League super heroes and many more. Last month, June 2023, Warner Bros. released The Flash movie, considering that it was initially proposed to be released sometime in September. Well, having it early must be a good thing, I’d say. However, the initial released garnered less than it was expected to have. As per the numbers, just this week they met their target gross profit which is very poor compare to other Justice League Superhero movies that were released previously. Just like the Shazam: Fury of the Gods, it barely survived the public judgment.
Have you expected anything more about getting a sequel when it comes to Transformers? Well, as you can see the Last Knight was probably the last entry of the whole series but what about getting the whole series a reboot? Yes, you heard that right, looks like after the Bumble Bee movie, they have decided to create a reboot on Michael Bay’s Transformers movie series.
The first Transformers movie was released 2007, followed by Revenge of the Fallen on 2009, Dark of the Moon on 2011, then Age of Extinction and the last one will be the Last Knight, assuming they are trying to recreate the whole series since Bumble bee, with the post credit scene that was showed in Bumble Bee, all viewers knew there’s something new coming but we didn’t expect that it will become a reboot.
Who would’ve thought that a movie about cars, drag races, gang and heist will become this big of a franchise? Some of the well-known Dystopian movies were mostly made by American production, to name a few, we have Divergent, Hunger Games, Maze Runner and these movies were actually adapted from Sci-fi Young Adult Books that were published more than 10 years ago. One of the most unique Dystopian movie that I have watched was also In Time, in which they have timers in their arms that signifies the life span they have, the more time you got, the more time you can live. It was starred by Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. To add more, you have The Purge movies, 5th Wave, Death Cure and Planet of the Apes Movie series. These movies are depicting the possible future of there world when everything has been destroyed or the political background of each of every one of us has changed and the society has completely depend its ways to survive to a new system. These are works of art that represents the great mystery and wilderness.
I know when you say dystopian, some of you will think this is another useless action movie that shows how life will continue even after the apocalypse or the judgement day but this however, in reality, constructs the same pyramids of priority that the present society have, although they just dress it into after-the-end kind of situation, but I believe that whoever made these stories, plots, they know what they are talking about, and they have seen injustice with their own eyes.
