Unknown Number: The High School Catfish

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Imagine it is in the 90s, no smartphones, no social media and nothing…just simple hi and hello to all the friends you have and by the time the news about each other comes out, the issue is already done and resolved. What makes 90s special is that there are telephone directories and operators where you will know who called you and who tried to even contact you on your pager because everything is recorded and you can ask the operator. But we all know that we are in the 2000s, where everything is accessible and you can literally use anything anonymously, and we cannot escape the technology but what will you do if this technology ruins you and your entire life, worst, your family? And you cannot even do a single thing but to wait for investigators to dig in deep to know where it started?

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call (A Moview)

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

If you’ve spent half of your life watching Grey’s Anatomy, House, ER The Resident, Chicago Med, Doctors, Hospital Playlist, Dr. Romantic and many other Medical TV dramas, then you will know that we have this standard when it comes to these kinds of dramas. We aim for clarity, not only just about the medical terms but we also need to have the clear picture of the context, how did it happened and also we need to learn form it, and this I believe the samples I mentioned were considered as the standard.

Squid Game 2: A Moview

Rating: 3 out of 5.

In all fairness, we have been talking in this blog how korean dramas are significantly different from any other series, just like the Squid Game series; who could’ve known that the games you play when you’re a kid can be deadly? Well, not necessarily deadly, but for those who watched the series, you understand why I wrote those lines.

Squid Game is a series about people who needs money and suddenly they agreed to be in a game where they will win billions of money in exchange to playing children’s games which they have knows ever since they were kids the only catch is that, only one can win and every time they miss a round, they’d be killed, this is how the game worked all throughout the series. People getting killed every time they fail in the game. The main character Seong Gi-hun was lucky enough to pass and win all the games. But since he lost all the people he became friends with during the games, he wanted to make use of his price money to find the people behind these selfish-people-killing games.

Under Paris Movie Review

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Who can imagine a life with so many sharks around? Well, how about imagine having so many sharks and one can actually kill an entire city? This movie that’s released on Netflix is definitely one of the stressful movies that you’ll ever encounter, aside from having the anxiety of trying to stop whoever is trying to mess up the plan in the entire plot, I guess you’re just going to hate ever bit of one character’s attitude.

Well, This is one of the craziest film I have ever since, but yes, crazy good. I’m talking about Under Paris, a movie that focuses on a grieving scientist who lost her entire team while researching about this rare breed of shark. The shark was unexpected to be growing a little faster than the normal phase and actually was able to grow huge and stronger. Now, in the present day, they need to save everyone in Paris coz this huge shark is swimming in Paris. How? That’s for you to watch the movie.

Can’t Buy Me Love: Something New To The Standards (Series Review)

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

If there’s so much more to look forward to movies and tv series, it is the new plots and standards for Philippine Cinema and Series, I’m proud to say that from the movies released for the MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) last year, there’s a lot of big changes to the plots, the character build ups and cinematography. Filipino production has exerted efforts to catch up with the standards set by Korean TV series and Movies for the past few years.

This year, Star Magic (A popular celebrity agency and production in Philippines) has gone to lengths unimaginable, releasing so many TV Series that are best to compare to some of the Korean Dramas we have watched in the past. First of all, I would love to speak highly about the recently completed series Senior High, Starring Andrea Brillantes, playing the role of twin girls who entered an a elite school only for one of them to die and one to investigate the whole incident.

The Marvels Review

Rating: 3 out of 5.

This won’t be the first and last time I will be reviewing a really surprising very not-so-relatable movie for Marvel. I did reviewed some but this is the first time I really didn’t get the plot of the whole movie, like, okay, we come a long way on trying to do crossover nowadays but this is way out of context, for me, or maybe I’m just too bored with the crossover they have been doing from movies to TV series like we cannot just catch-up.
