Wednesday (TV Series)

Rating: 4 out of 5.

“I know I’m stubborn, single-minded, and obsessive. But those are all traits of great writers… And serial killers.”

-Wednesday, Jenna Ortega

If you have seen the series of cartoons and movie adaptations of The Addams Family, then you will know the one and only daughter of the dark, Wednesday Addams. In this Gen Z era, Netflix have come up to relive the Addams Family fever by making a live action series that is focused on Wednesday alone. Of course, we have seen what the family can do, and so I think having Netflix to try and make it darker than it was, I think it a straight yes to me.

In this 8-episode-long series, Wednesday was sent to School of Outcasts, known as `Nevermore Academy, this is the school where Wednesday’s parents, Morticia and Gomez attended school when they were young. The only problem is, by coming back to the Academy, the Addams Family has so many memories in it that some of them were actually memories of an unfinished business. The series is focusing on Wednesday’s social skills and how she can make friends despite her dark image.

The Kardashians

Everyone who knows me just definitely automatically agree that I am one of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians show addict and having them say goodbye for their last season just made me sad. It’s like reading a book and surprisingly, the book doesn’t have a sequel and it just makes you crazy. You know me, I love good reality shows!

I think this is just me as a fan, but watching them for a while just made me see how real people they are and they just make mistakes, get hurt, fall in love, gets upset, gets into argument, gets happy and ecstatic just like normal people do. Many viewers think they just do everything for the show, maybe, but having cameras everywhere while you live your life is like having everyone watch you and have their opinion about you even if they don’t know you that much.

Twenty Five Twenty One (A Moview)

Have ever wondered how life was during the 90s or how they actually spent time without the smartphones and other gadgets that we are enjoying now? I bet you also wonder how they make use of their extra time or even how they can communicate with their friends from afar? Well, This is another K-drama that will build your motivation and everything. This is one will definitely hit the retro lovers and the ones who were once a teenager during the 90s and early 2000s.

Twenty Five Twenty One is one of the series that I think will actually introduce the kids now in the 90s coz in the series, we’re going to see different kinds of gadgets and toys that the kids are now unfamiliar with. This is a story about a student who idolizes a fencing champion

Let’s have a recap of the four past seasons; New girl Chrishell Stause, was hated by Christine Quinn, got divorced with her actor husband, Justin, and then became friends with Mary Fitzgerald. Mary got some heated arguments with her now-ex best friend Christine, and then Maya got pregnant, then in another season got pregnant again, Christine later on became an outcast because of her attitude that made her be excluded with the girls and the rest of the girls hating her. She got pregnant and then later on had to leave because she will be delivering the baby. Emma enters the group who was Christine’s ex boyfriend’s ex girlfriend, and then Christine apparently is spreading wrong rumors about Emma and then got heated argument with the girls again. Davina was let go by the twin brother and then new girl Vanessa came, later on Christine tried to share her thoughts about the girls but eventually Vanessa didn’t catch up and put herself in the middle of not wanting any conflicts with everyone and so on and so forth… This was just a brief recap of the whole four seasons that I have watched in the past years and so, the last season ended on Heather and Christine getting into big argument during the company party and then the rest of the girls had side against Christine because they were all affected by Christine’s attitude. So now, this is the fifth season. I actually thought I have written a moview about the last season but just now, I realized that I just did some tweets about it and didn’t focus on having a review and now, I think this season deserves was more than a review. I would love to write about my most loved agents and most hated ones because this season is just more intense than the previous ones.

Little disclaimer: here we go, you better try to watch all 4 seasons before you click more or scroll down…

Business Proposal: Worth The ‘Chums’?

Have you ever watched Cinderella-like Dramas lately? Let me share some titles with you, True Beauty, What’s wrong with Secretary Kim; I think those are the best example so far for modern day rich-poor love story but not in a dramatic way, in fact these dramas are mostly romantic-comedy. And many of us just wanted to see Korean dramas with lighter side of drama and more on the comedy side just like Hometown ChaCha.

Netflix is now streaming a new K-drama series called Business Proposal, this series is actually based on webtoon entitled The Office Blind Date. Starring Kim Se-Jeong as Shin Ha-Ri (You’ll probably recognize her in School 2017 and The Uncanny Counter) and Ahn Hyo-Seop as Kang Tae-Moo (You’ll see him in Dr. Romantic Season Two, Abyss and Lovers of the Red Sky.) This TV Series is directed Directed by Park Seon-ho and written by Han Seol-hee and Hong Bo-hee. It is about unexpected lovers that met in a little crazy way.

This is a disclaimer, I will have to spoil some points to complete my moview, coz this is quite an interesting series; so if you haven’t watch the series, feel free to close the tab and go back later. Please read at your own risk…

Bridgerton S2: The Viscount Who Loved Me

For everyone who isn’t familiar of the title, it is actually the title of the novel by Julia Quinn in which the Season 2 of Bridgerton was based on. The first one was The Duke and I (Season 1). The Netflix Original series is produced by Shonda Rimes, the producer who made our beloved Grey’s Anatomy possible, and yes this is by far the cutest series focusing on royalties in the year (1813-1827) that we all have wondered about. It’s the era of the romantics as I call it.

Since this is another book adaptation, we all know that I go crazy on books and yes, I have read the whole series which consists of 8 romance novels, so the question is, are we gonna expect 8 seasons for Bridgerton? Well, I shall not keep you from reading my review and getting in the zone.

For those who have not yet set eyes on the series, please refrain from scrolling my article as this might ruin the excitement of your viewing…ah, yes, as always, it will be your own risk to read spoilers…go ahead then…

One Of Us Is Lying (A Moview)

After Riverdale, Pretty Little Liars, Elite and so much more TV series that are based in a thriller, suspense genre which likely perceives a dark side of high school kind of thing, yet another thrilling story that will question all your trust when it comes to people, is released by Netflix. Yes, I know my intro is kinda crooked but yes, I have been watching so many TV Series lately that I think everything is just the same. One killed one, one lied about it and one will be blamed for it. That’s basically how the story goes nowadays but don’t you agree? Like there’s some kind of standard when it comes to making thriller and mind-bugging shows and to top it all of we just need to determine which TV series that was previously released best saves similarities of this new one. I know, it’s a lot to take in for an introduction, it’s the same as watching slasher movies all over again but you already know that the one who acted dumb is the killer.

OOUIL (One of us is lying) is the new released TV series about 4 high school students with different backgrounds getting framed for their schoolmate’s death; this is based from the mystery/suspense novel of the same titled written by Karen McManus. The series revolves around the time when everyone has suspected the four students of the crime and every episode will spark investigation and story telling for every each of the characters including their possible involvement in the case but are they really innocent? Well, in the TV Series we will know for sure.
