SMILE 2 Review (Bonus: Ending Explained)

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

We all know that if a movie has a sequel, it is either the first one is better or the second one surpasses the first and this goes over and over as long as the sequel continues. This year, after a two wait, Smile movie has finally released a sequel, Smile 2.

Despite of the years difference, Smile movie was actually cynical when it comes to getting the sinister. It was really sinister-y but a little confusing but predictable, I guess that’s what we can put that phase in the first movie. The movie was supposed to feel like a mystery and thrilling at the same time, well. it was quite a number of feelings you get because it was a psychological thriller.

Transformers One Review: Somebody Has To…

Rating: 4 out of 5.

“A line between a friend and enemy is not as clear as I once believed, once it’s crossed, there’s no going back because transformations are permanent”- Orion Pax, Optimus Prime.

In the world where everything is just too realistic and everything has forgotten physical toys and just play digital toys instead, some Gen-z don’t even know that Transformers, Ninja Turtles, Marvels and DC Superheroes were actually toys before they even made it to the big screens. But seeing them in the reels are actually a sign of how technology has progressed throughout the years. We have seen so many Transformers movies through out the special years of robots but we actually never saw a prequel until last year and now, they are actually giving us the taste of a real prequel.

Deadpool & Wolverine: Review

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

“You got a whole world to get back to, I have nothing.” Wolverine, 2024

Multiverse is multiverse-ing. Deadpool is Deadpool since the last movie in 2018, we didn’t really get any sequel. But this time, we don’t only get a sequel, but also a new MCU entry and a possibility of having the X-Men back. Yes, you read it right. This new Deadpool movie is actually a redirecting of the MCU. Not every one knows Deadpool is not actually part of the MCU at first but since Disney took over, they are now trying to fix the timeline by trying to tie up all the Marvel stories. This is where the whole confusion starts because aside form having so many things happening in MCU, there’s just too much topics to talk about. This new Deadpool movie was definitely called for. Okay, we just need to do a recap and analyze this new movie and how it’s gonna affect the whole MCU.

Under Paris Movie Review

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Who can imagine a life with so many sharks around? Well, how about imagine having so many sharks and one can actually kill an entire city? This movie that’s released on Netflix is definitely one of the stressful movies that you’ll ever encounter, aside from having the anxiety of trying to stop whoever is trying to mess up the plan in the entire plot, I guess you’re just going to hate ever bit of one character’s attitude.

Well, This is one of the craziest film I have ever since, but yes, crazy good. I’m talking about Under Paris, a movie that focuses on a grieving scientist who lost her entire team while researching about this rare breed of shark. The shark was unexpected to be growing a little faster than the normal phase and actually was able to grow huge and stronger. Now, in the present day, they need to save everyone in Paris coz this huge shark is swimming in Paris. How? That’s for you to watch the movie.

Can’t Buy Me Love: Something New To The Standards (Series Review)

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

If there’s so much more to look forward to movies and tv series, it is the new plots and standards for Philippine Cinema and Series, I’m proud to say that from the movies released for the MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) last year, there’s a lot of big changes to the plots, the character build ups and cinematography. Filipino production has exerted efforts to catch up with the standards set by Korean TV series and Movies for the past few years.

This year, Star Magic (A popular celebrity agency and production in Philippines) has gone to lengths unimaginable, releasing so many TV Series that are best to compare to some of the Korean Dramas we have watched in the past. First of all, I would love to speak highly about the recently completed series Senior High, Starring Andrea Brillantes, playing the role of twin girls who entered an a elite school only for one of them to die and one to investigate the whole incident.

The Idea of You: Anne Hathaway’s Refreshing Role in a May-December Love Story

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Is this the time for the era to get used to couples with huge age difference, especially on films? Well, to tell you the truth, there’s so little of those May-December affair films that were released throughout the years because as i have noticed, people are still not used to doing the whole thing because there are still huge commenting about it but in reality this is happening with some couples who have huge age differences.

The movie The Idea of You is about a 40 year old woman named, Solene, who happens to attend Coachella to be her daughter’s chaperone and meets a 24 year old, Hayes, who is in boy band performing that day in Coachella. They met in Hayes’ trailer after Solene thought it was a public trailer.

Back To Basics…

Okay, not all of my avid moview readers know that I am also into reading books. Well, I have a long break from reading books…more like a 10-year-gap kind of break. I got busy with life, that’s how it is. although there are also times that I was able to read books through audiobooks, so it’s not actually a good to nothing break. I still had a chance to read some new books through listening to their audiobook versions. But this 2024, I am trying to convince myself that I really need to go back to reading because why not? Especially now that people are finally returning to the reading paperback and hard bounds.

Madame Web Review

Rating: 1 out of 5.

We all know that Spider-man has so many multiverse versions, to name the most recent one, Spider-man: Across the Verse, the whole Spider-man shows that there’s an endless possibilities of Spider-man versions. Even in movies, we saw three different Spider-man versions played by Toby Mcguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland and even the part where we are seeing Venom in the latest version. It’s like yes, we are in this Spider-man multiverse but we are actually updated of whatever can happen in each multiverse. Thanks to Marvel/Disney for not doing any big leap on changing Spider-man stories, most of these movies were actually close to the comics.
